1.⁠ Seven people, including five children, have been stabbed in a knife attack at a primary school in Croatia, with at least 1 child dying. The attacker is believed to be a 19-year-old man who "reportedly entered the school with a knife and entered the first class he came across."

2.⁠ Russia launched an airstrike on Kyiv in response to Ukraine attacking Rostov with 6 U.S-made ATACMS and 4 British Storm Shadow missiles. Moscow said it hit the control room of Ukraine's Secret Service (SBU) as well as the Kyiv Design Bureau "Luch" and Patriot air defense system positions.

The troops fled through Al-Qaim, a border town in western Iraq near Syria, on Dec. 7.

Talk about an easy takeover.

🚨🇸🇾 MASS GRAVE NEAR DAMASCUS MAY HOLD 100,000+ BODIES

Mouaz Moustafa, head of the Syrian Emergency Task Force, says a massive grave near al Qutayfah, 25 miles outside Damascus, contains at least 100,000 bodies of people killed under Bashar al-Assad’s rule.

Moustafa:

"One hundred thousand is the most conservative estimate.

It's a very, very extremely almost unfairly conservative estimate."

The site is one of five mass graves Moustafa has identified.

Witnesses say the bodies—many tortured to death—were moved from military hospitals to these graves by Syria’s Air Force Intelligence.

Funeral workers and bulldozer drivers said they were forced to bury and even “squish the bodies down” to fit more into the graves.

Moustafa also claims the victims include Syrians, Americans, British citizens, and other foreigners who died during Assad’s brutal crackdown.

He warns that the graves are unsecured and calls for immediate action to protect the sites as evidence for future investigations into war crimes.

The European Union is dusting off its old desk in Damascus.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas says the delegation, which had been ambassador-free since the war began, will soon be “fully operational” again.

On Monday, the EU’s top envoy was sent to Syria to reconnect with the country’s new leadership and other groups.

Meanwhile, Germany, the US, and Britain have already chatted with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the rebel group that helped kick Assad out of key areas.

Looks like the EU is late to the party—but better late than never.
