Turkish authorities have detained over 1,400 people in ongoing street protests—979 remain in custody, with 478 set to appear in court today.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya says no leniency will be shown toward those accused of attacking “national and moral values” or targeting police.
The government also condemned verbal attacks on President Erdoğan’s late mother and family, calling it a red line.
