During a segment on Turkey, the French-German channel Arte managed to display the Caucasus region with Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria... and absolutely no Armenia.
Instead, Azerbaijan’s border mysteriously stretched all the way to Turkey—something that doesn’t exist in reality but apparently flew on public broadcasting.
With 120,000 Armenians displaced and Genocide Remembrance Day weeks away, the “oops” couldn't be more tone-deaf.
Arte yanked the episode and quietly covered the map—but still no apology, no answer, and no idea how this passed anyone’s review.
