🇮🇷 IRAN FORTIFIES DEEP-UNDERGROUND NUCLEAR TUNNELS WHILE U.S. TALKS CLOSE IN
As Iran and the U.S. prepare for another round of nuclear talks this weekend, Tehran isn’t exactly hitting the brakes.
Instead, it’s doubling down—fortifying deeply buried nuclear tunnel complexes beneath Mt. Kolang Gaz La, right next to its main Natanz nuclear site.
These complexes are buried even deeper than Iran’s Fordow enrichment site, which was already considered bomb-proof by most standards.
The worry? The tunnels could be used to stash enriched uranium, advanced centrifuges, or whatever Tehran doesn’t want U.N. inspectors to see.
Spoiler: inspectors haven’t been allowed in.
