Researchers found 3 ancient hearths from about 26,000 years ago, filled with traces of burnt spruce wood and even scorched animal bones.
Despite the brutal cold and a shortage of trees, these Ice Age survivors mastered fire-building so well, they may have used different hearths for different seasons.
