Fighting broke out across Tripoli Monday night after reports surfaced that Abdul Ghani al-Kikli—known as Ghniwa—was killed under unclear circumstances.
Armed clashes ignited between Ghniwa’s Stability Support Force and rival brigades, including the 444 and 111 Brigades, in Abu Salim and Mashrou.
The Ambulance and Emergency Center declared a state of emergency, urging residents to stay home.
The Interior Ministry echoed the warning.
Mitiga Airport began evacuating flights to Misrata.
