A Tunisian court sentenced Ennahda opposition party official Noureddine Bhiri to 10 years in prison for charges related to state security and incitement.
Bhiriโs lawyer, Monia Bouali, claimed the trial had legal violations, citing that a Facebook post attributed to him did not exist.
Bhiri has been detained for 18 months, along with other opponents of President Kais Saied, who has been accused of consolidating power and ruling by decree, actions the opposition calls a coup.
