Despite being granted safety and having their situations settled, remnants of the former regime attacked several state sites today, simultaneously, with support from Iran and its affiliates in Iraq and Lebanon. These attacks targeted hospitals and checkpoints in most coastal villages, leading to the siege of several of these sites.
The remnants also used civilians to report security incidents, and when the police responded to assist, the remnants deliberately and strategically targeted these patrols.
They also used Facebook and Telegram accounts, supported by accounts originating from Iraq and Lebanon, to incite sectarian mobilization. These accounts primarily used real names, mostly of women.
Convoys are arriving successively to the Syrian coast to restore security.
