Estes Carter Thompson III, an American Airlines flight attendant, pleaded guilty to secretly recording underage girls in airplane bathrooms.
He was caught after taping his phone to a toilet seat to film a 14-year-old girl during a flight in late 2023. Thompson lured her to the first-class bathroom, claiming he needed to wash his hands, then set up the device.
The girl discovered the phone, alerted her parents, and her father confronted Thompson, causing a disturbance.
Investigators later found videos of other children—aged 7, 9, 11, and 14—from previous flights on his devices, along with a large collection of child pornography.
Thompson now faces up to 20 years in prison for child exploitation.
