A zebra escaped in Tennessee and decided Interstate 24 was the perfect racetrack.
The black and white runaway bolted Saturday afternoon, just one day after its owners “obtained” it.
Authorities still have no idea where the zebra came from or why anyone thought it belonged in Rutherford County.
It dashed into the woods then made things interesting by running into traffic.
Police shut down the entire highway in both directions.
The zebra remains missing.
So if you live near Nashville and spot a four-legged traffic hazard in stripes, you are not imagining things.

On April 11, 1945, a Japanese kamikaze pilot flew straight into the USS Missouri during the Battle of Okinawa.
The plane exploded, the pilot died instantly, and the ship barely flinched.
Everyone expected the crew to toss what was left of him into the sea but Captain William Callaghan did the opposite - he ordered a full military funeral - for the enemy.
Sailors sewed a Japanese flag by hand, and the pilot was laid to rest with full honors.
It’s the only time in history this happened because even in war, some people choose dignity over revenge.
