Brazil’s telecom watchdog Anatel has officially approved Starlink to expand its satellite network with 7,500 new units in the country.
This raises Starlink’s total authorized satellites in Brazil to nearly 12,000 — up from the previous 4,408.
The move positions Brazil as a major hub in @elonmusk's global push for satellite internet coverage, especially in remote and underserved regions like the Amazon.
Starlink systems are already in use across Brazil, including on riverboats deep in the Amazon basin.
