🇸🇩🇹🇷 SUDAN FM: TURKEY IS A TRUE ALLY — UK? NOT INVITING US TO OUR OWN CONFERENCE
Sudan’s Foreign Minister Ali Yusuf is all smiles with Turkey, calling the relationship “brotherly” after talks with Erdogan and Hakan Fidan on rebuilding hospitals, schools, and basic services.
On the war front, he says RSF fighters are on the run:
Yusuf:
“This issue will be addressed in the next few days. I think then it will be completely freed from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).”
As for peace talks? Not happening until RSF packs up.
Yusuf:
“The condition for starting negotiations, as expressed by the Sudanese government, is for the militias to withdraw from all occupied areas of the country to a specific region.
They can be held there until an agreement is reached through mediation and dialogue, and the future is in the hands of the Sudanese people.”
Then came the UK’s bright idea — hosting a Sudan conference without Sudan.
Yusuf:
“We told them how a conference discussing Sudan’s problems and the situation in Sudan could be organized without inviting Sudan.”
To make it worse, they invited the UAE — which Yusuf called “neither a mediator nor a friend.”
So Sudan noped out and leaned on actual allies like Turkey and Egypt instead.
“The war is in full swing,” Yusuf said. Translation: don’t expect a happy ending just yet.
