Jamar Banks, 52, accused of two subway stabbings last week and boasting 87 prior arrests, was nabbed at a Bronx station carrying the massive knife cops say he used.

Banks, who’s terrorized NYC transit for years, was hit with assault and weapons charges.

Both victims survived, but the question remains:

Why was he even free to roam?!
