Treasury minister Tulip Siddiq is under fire after allegations tied her to London properties linked to Sheikh Hasina, her aunt and Bangladesh’s ousted Prime Minister.

Reports claim Siddiq, tasked with tackling corruption, benefited from gifts tied to Hasina’s regime and is implicated in a 2013 nuclear plant deal with Russia involving alleged embezzlement.

Siddiq insists she’s innocent and has called for an independent ethics probe.

PM Keir Starmer has backed Siddiq but barred her from joining a UK delegation to China this week.
