Pope Francis, in a rare open letter to U.S. Catholic bishops, blasted Trump’s immigration policies, rejecting the idea that all undocumented immigrants are criminals.
Pope Francis:
“I exhort all the faithful of the Catholic Church … not to give in to narratives that discriminate against and cause unnecessary suffering to our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters.”
Francis previously called Trump’s mass deportation plan a “disgrace,” deepening tensions between the Vatican and the White House.
