Scientists found 131 dinosaur footprints on the Isle of Skye, revealing that T. rex ancestors and giant herbivores once roamed its freshwater lagoons.

Tracks of “jeep-sized” megalosaurs—cousins of the T. rex—mingle with impressions from massive sauropods two to three times the size of elephants.

This Middle Jurassic discovery offers new insights into how dinosaurs congregated around watering holes, much like animals do today.
