South Korea’s acting President Han Duck-soo has ordered emergency support for industries affected by new U.S. tariffs, including the auto sector.
The move follows Trump’s announcement of global reciprocal tariffs, which hit South Korea with a 25% rate.
Han directed the industry minister to negotiate with Washington and analyze the tariff impact.
Speaking with top officials, Han stated, “the government must pour all its capabilities to overcome the trade crisis.”
He will meet with the private sector to discuss next steps.
