Poland wants to tap β¬6.1B in EU post-COVID funds β not for hospitals or schools, but for defence gear, cybersecurity, and infrastructure strong enough to take a punch.
Theyβre the first to try this move, and apparently, other EU countries are already sliding into their DMs asking how.
Minister Pelczynska-Nalecz:
"There are still many things that are important to us, first of all the issue of dual-use infrastructure, issues with road infrastructure, which we want to raise assertively and convince in talks with the (European) Commission that these investments are absolutely crucial."
Brussels has until June 20 to say yes. No pressure.
