🧵It’s time to open your eyes if you haven’t yet.

HTS leader Jolani’s speech today was a great eye opener for those who’re still sleeping. Highlights were:

• No attack against Russian bases; Russia was given chance to reconsider relations
• Not seeking war with Israel
• What happened in Syria was a victory against Iran’s plans - Iran must go

• Jolani never made a mention of the presence of US soldiers in Syria

There’s no direct evidence of Jolani being tied to Israel/US.

Other than the fact that he was ex-ISIS, a rebranded Al-Qaeda (which was fully financed & equipped by the US) who repeatedly received assistance by both the US & Israel (even publicly received medical help inside Israel).

Other than the fact that Israel occupied a big chunk of western Syria, 20-30km away from Damascus while Jolani iterated for the upteempth time that he’s not looking to fight Israel—while they are literally behind his doors—meanwhile astutely says that Iran’s exit from Syria was his victory and that he doesn’t want them here—the same Iran that had no bases in Syria and its presence was solely advisory and was the only country that helped Syria defend against Israel, creating obstacles for Israel.

Other than the fact that US has illegal bases in Syria pumping & stealing oil while directly supporting FSA’s rival, the SDF—but chooses to not make a single mention of their presence, having US in Syria creating no obstacle for Israel.

Other than the fact that Russia’s presence was only bothering because it supported Assad, but they have no issue with their presence if they reach an agreement—the same Russia that never defended Syrians against Israeli attacks, at best only issued condemnation statements, having Russia’s presence creating no obstacle for Israel.

Even if you don’t like Assad, Jolani is not the one you should be supporting.
