Anthropic has agreed to keep its Claude AI from spitting out copyrighted song lyrics or cooking up knockoff hits, thanks to pressure from major music publishers.
The deal includes guardrails and a hotline for publishers to report “oops” moments.
Meanwhile, Anthropic insists training AI on lyrics is “fair use.” (Because nothing says fair like borrowing Beyoncé to teach a bot.)
The court’s still deciding if future training will face stricter limits.
Until then, Claude won’t be dropping mixtapes anytime soon.
