Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has been charged in France for his alleged role in spreading child sexual images and other crimes on the app.

Prosecutors claim Durov refused to help with legal wiretaps on suspects, complicating criminal investigations.

He is not allowed to leave France and has reportedly had to post a €5-Million bail.
