A woman armed with a pistol shut down a Houston freeway, sitting in the middle of traffic and refusing to drop the weapon.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said she was having suicidal thoughts. SWAT, crisis teams, and family worked for hours before she finally surrendered around 6:30 p.m.
No injuries reported.
She's now receiving care at a hospital.
