🇺🇸 FINAL SHOWDOWN UNDERWAY FOR TRUMP’S “BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL”
The House has entered final debate on Trump’s monster tax-and-spending bill - loaded with giveaways for the rich and cuts for everyone else.
With a 220–212 margin, Republicans can only afford 3 defections. One wrong move and the whole thing crashes.
The bill slashes Medicaid, food aid, and green energy funding - while locking in Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, ramping up immigration enforcement, and jacking the debt ceiling by $5 trillion.
CBO says nearly 12 million could lose health insurance. Democrats call it “catastrophic,” with Rep. Jim McGovern saying: “It is not policy, it is punishment.”
But GOP leadership is desperate to deliver for Trump, who wants it signed by July 4 for maximum flag-waving effect.
One snag: any House edits trigger a Senate do-over - blowing up the timeline.
