He gave props to Nikol’s “courageous efforts” to hash out peace with Azerbaijan and mend fences with Turkey - no small feat in a region where grudges run deep and borders have stayed shut for decades.
Macron insists opening borders could be a huge win for the entire South Caucasus, hinting that peace might finally trump centuries of geopolitical beef.
Because nothing says diplomacy like a French President telling two neighbors to please stop fighting and start trading.
